Share and Invite Travelers
Choose between direct invitations, Invite Links, private view-only Share Links, and public Trip URLs.
Sharing and joining are different permissions
Meet4Trips uses different link types because “let someone see this” and “let someone become a participant” are not the same action.
Direct or email invitation
Use a direct invitation when you know who you want to invite and intend for that person to join the Trip.
Invite Link
An Invite Link is a membership invitation. An eligible signed-in traveler can explicitly accept it and become a Trip participant. Treat the link accordingly and avoid posting private invitation links publicly.
Private Share Link
A private view-only Share Link is for showing a private Trip without automatically granting membership. It is useful when someone needs to review the plan but should not become a participant yet.
Public Trip URL
A public Trip URL is intended for normal public discovery and sharing. It does not mean every visitor becomes a Trip member.
Before sending any link
Check which permission you actually want to grant. If a URL contains a private or invitation token, do not paste that token into public posts, screenshots, analytics notes, or unrelated chat rooms.
