How to Join a Trip
Found a Trip you actually want? Open the plan, understand who is going, and take the right step to join — or accept an invitation when one comes your way.
Start with a Trip you would actually take
Joining is not a casual follow. Open the Trip, read the itinerary, check dates, and look at who is already involved. You should be asking to join that specific plan — not collecting connections.
Two ways in: your request vs their invitation
Request to Join starts with you. You discover a public Trip and ask the moderator to approve your participation.
An invitation starts with someone already on the Trip. If you receive an Invite Link or direct invitation, you follow that flow instead of creating a separate join request.
Why your profile matters before you ask
Moderators need context. A photo, short bio, nationality, and age context (where you choose to share it) help others understand who may be joining — but this is planning context, not identity verification and not a safety guarantee.
After you request
If approval is required, your request stays pending until a moderator decides. One thoughtful request beats repeated pings or off-platform pressure to “approve me faster.”
After you are in
Once approved, you are a participant — comments, planning, and shared expectations apply to you too. Re-read the itinerary, clarify dates and budget early, and treat the Trip as a collaboration you are now part of.
